An early morning Viking raid destroyed Brynne’s village.

Brynne wears her foster-brother’s hand-me-downs. The warriors assume she’s a 14-year-old-boy. She saw no reason to change their minds and takes the name of her dead foster-brother Colm.

 

The warriors are exceptional fighters who teach her. Naturally gifted with a sword, Brynne hones herself into a deadly weapon. Their first battle against Vikings illustrates the deadliest problem they face: Irishmen willing to sell out their own for Viking silver. The betrayal turns them from hunter to hunted as their ambush becomes a brutal battle for survival. Colm is wounded but refuses to stop until the female slaves are freed.

 

Brynne Irish Steel is the first book in a four-book historical adventure set in Ireland from 899-902 AD during the height of Viking raids. Thousands of Irish women were taken and sold through slave ports over the 220 years Vikings terrorized Ireland. During that period of time, some Irish kingdoms learned to resist, adapt and fight back.
