An early morning Viking raid destroyed Brynne's village.
 

The raiders slaughtered the men, enslaved the women, and burned every hut to the ground. Working in the upper fields, Brynne watched the horror unfold below. The only survivor, she swears an oath to avenge her village and drive the Vikings from Ireland before there is no Ireland left to save.

Two years later, fourteen-year-old Brynne lives alone in the wilderness. She encounters a band of Irish warriors who also lost everything to Viking raids. They recognize her skill and she joins them as they walk across Ireland to meetup with their army.

She fights alongside these warriors who have no idea who she really is.

Their first battle against Vikings reveals a deadly truth: not every enemy comes from across the sea. An Irishman betrays them for Viking silver. The betrayal turns them from hunter to hunted as their strategically planned ambush becomes a brutal battle for survival. Colm is badly wounded but refuses to stop fighting until the female slaves are freed or she is dead.
 

Brynne Irish Steel is a four novel historical adventure set in Ireland from 899–902 AD during the height of Viking raids. Thousands of Irish women were taken and sold through Viking slave ports over the 220 years that Viking raids terrorized  Ireland. During that time, some Irish kingdoms learned to resist, adapt, and fight back.
